Ecco i crudi numeri:
HALO 3 ODST
Totale voti 5169 diviso 62 recensioni= 83,3
La scheda è arrotondata per ECCESSO a 84
UNCHARTED 2
Totale voti 2046 diviso 21=97,4

I’ve just found a very strange thing about the metacritic score and how the final numbers are rounded. Take a look at Halo3:ODST and Uncharted 2 and how they are treated differently.HALO 3 ODST
Total score 5169 in 62 reviews= 83,3
The final score is rounded UP to 84UNCHARTED 2
Total 2046 in 21 reviews=97,4
The final score this time is rounded DOWN to 97wtf?

Metacritic gives different reviews different weights, this may affect it.
Other than James' point(which is absolutely right), ODST has 62 reviews, much greater than 21 for Uncharted 2. The high data-set makes lower averages more probable for ODST(just as in a Normal distribution curve), so Metacritic increases its score.
Yet, the point raised by James is the most important - more credible sources rate ODST higher than less credible ones. In any case, I don not wish to be seen as "Anti-Uncharted" - it's a great game, much better than ODST.
PS - You've made an error too! 5169/62 is 83.37, which rounds to 83.4, NOT 83.3
You guys are completely right.
That freaky numbers are in because their 'weighted' system. A lil bit odd but, thats it, take it or leave it.
Thanks for stopping by :)
